    Dear Liskeard Town Team,
I have just watched the Mary Portas programme on revitalising your high street. It was brilliant! The response by the town to her ideas was impressive. You all worked so hard and it looks a really lovely town to visit so I plan to have small break there this year. I’m sure lots of other people will be feeling the same way and you’ll all have a busy touristy summer.
Thank you for your enthusiasm, and the happiness you generated in the tv programme.
    Love from Helena in London

Thank you Helena – Liskeard has fantastic architecture and the visit of Mary Portas, although controversial at times, has been good for us, in that it has made us look at ourselves in a new way! We shall certainly welcome a visit from you… Our architecture is unique and we have some excellent shops, not just the ones shown in the film! Take time to look around and enjoy!
