Have you checked out the art in the empty Splinter shop on Fore Street? It’s rather special, particularly the pieces that combine the talents of two artists working in different mediums who hadn’t met before the Town Team project began.

The idea is that the installations will change over the coming year and hopefully expand to other shops that have been empty for sometime. The appearance of our streets will be improved and the art itself will become a point of interest for visitors. As Jo Hoskins, art director always says, we need things that give Liskeard ‘talkability!’

Last week Phil Gibby, South West Director from the Arts Council visited Liskeard on a whistlestop tour of Cornwall. He was most impressed to see this initiative.
