Coyte Farm

Liskeard Town Team Exec Board voted to oppose the Coyte Farm development. Here’s a message from Chris Whitt, Chair of St Austell BID steering group showing how you can help:

Please check the Deloitte Report showing the negative impact on our Towns of the Coyte Farm Development, St Mewan, St Austell.
It will take out pa > £29 Million from St Austell AND Truro. (All Retail Comparison ie Non Food Goods).
Bodmin will lose > £6 Million, Wadebridge > £2 Million and Liskeard & Newquay > £4 Million each.

Can your Towns afford to lose Turnover of this scale? (To see how large this thing is see the attachment ranking retail floor space of Cornish Towns. The Coyte Farm development ranks 3rd out of 15 and sits below only Truro and Penzance in size and is 30% larger than the average Cornish Town Centre).

This goes before Cornwall Council Strategic Planning Committee on 17 January 2013 (PA12/10096). We believe it will destroy our Town Centre and our community.

Please rally your troops and lobby MPs, Cornwall Councillors and all those with influence. This development must be stopped.

You may wish to amend your post since the date this goes before Cornwall Council Strategic Planning Committee has now been delayed, probably until some time in March.
