Well, by now you’ll know that we’ve launched our handmade (by some very lovely volunteers) cotton, reusable shopping bags with Love Liskeard on them. They’re available to buy in Health & Happiness and the Book Shop for a mere £3. They’re fairly low maintenance but do thrive on a diet of local shopping! To celebrate that our working groups are up and running, and the launch of the new bags to raise vital funds, we’ve partnered up with some local folks for a little give-away…
First, the award-winning Cornish Orchards have donated a bottle each of their new lemonade, apple juice and cider. Eminent local artist, Nicky Harwood (or the Cow Lady as most know her!) has donated a selection of her beautiful greetings cards. Award-winning Gingham Chicken has given us two bags of her very gorgeous fudge, and finally the Book Shop has thrown in a voucher* for £10! And to carry all that home, one of our fab new bags is included as well.
So if you’d like to win**, answer this simple question: which Saint has his own fair in Liskeard in September? Answers to be emailed by the 10th August, or you can drop your answer off at the Liskerrett Community Centre. Whether online or offline, include your answer, your full name, address, email and/or phone number. All winning answers will be put into a bag, and one lucky winner will be drawn out.
Thanks to all our lovely donators: Nicky Harwood, Cornish Orchards, Gingham Chicken and The Book Shop. Your generosity is very appreciated. As well as the Liskerrett Centre for offering an offline option, and continuing to support the efforts of the Town Team.
* please note, this is not a book token, the voucher can only be used in the Book Shop, Liskeard.
** because of the weight of the prize we cannot post this prize, we can arrange local delivery, or a pick up point in Liskeard. We would also appreciate if the winner would agree to have their photo taken with the competition prize, however, this is entirely optional.
